Dear
Colleagues,
The
International Congress of Endocrinology
(ICE) is being held in 2008 in the wonderful
Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro. This
is the first time it is taking place
in South America.
Over
the last fifty years the International
Society of Endocrinology has met around
the world. It is a unique and wonderful
opportunity for endocrinologists from
all continents to exchange and learn
clinical and scientific endocrinology
as well as experience and benefit from
different cultures.
Rio
is the most wonderful city – one
of the most beautiful in the world situated
as it is with its Atlantic forests and
green mountains reaching smoothly down
to the blue and warm Atlantic Ocean.
Brazil is alive with charm, beauty and
sophistication. Well synchronized with
Rio, the country also has many attractions,
magnificent landscapes, irresistible
songs and one of the friendliest people
in the world.
The
organizing committee of the International
Congress - Rio 2008, with an international
scientific committee chaired by Professor
John Wass from Oxford in the UK, is
working hard to prepare a congress which
will fill everybody’s expectations.
This is traditionally the largest gathering
of endocrinologists in the world and
we look forward to welcoming you to
an occasion which will remain fresh
in your minds for many years.
Come
and enjoy endocrinology at the International
Congress in Rio de Janeiro in 2008.
We look forward to welcoming you.
Yours
sincerely,
Amelio F. de Godoy-Matos
